Browse without an account
Academies, guides and public event information can be explored without signing in. Your local saved academies, comparison selection and analytics choice are stored in your browser.
Optional account and saved sync
Sign in with ChatGPT provides your stable site account ID, email and available display name. Your additional name, city, state, role and contact details are optional and private. BJJ Station stores account preferences and saved items in its server database. Saved academy sync is an explicit choice for each browser; you can turn it off in your account. Signing out does not delete your local list.
A shared shortlist link contains academy identifiers. Anyone with the link can see those public listings. Share cards contain the public profile or source snapshot shown in the preview; sharing or downloading a card does not automatically publish it anywhere.
Finding academies near you
Location is requested only when you select “Find near me.” Your browser asks for permission. Coordinates stay in browser memory to calculate approximate straight-line distances. They are not sent to analytics or placed in shared URLs. You can search by city or ZIP instead.
Optional analytics
Analytics starts only after you choose “Accept analytics.” Google Analytics measures page paths and counts of actions such as saving or comparing an academy and opening official links. Advertising features and personalization are disabled. Google receives ordinary connection data when analytics is enabled.
With the same permission, BJJ Station records page views and visible-tab heartbeats for a private owner overview. A random per-tab identifier counts sessions, not unique people. The server may use an approximate connection city and country, and an origin-only referrer. Raw IP addresses are not stored in this activity data. Search text, precise GPS coordinates, names, email addresses and message contents are not sent as activity parameters.
Choose “Essential only” to browse without analytics. Change your choice here or in the footer. Essential only stops future analytics, removes accessible Google Analytics cookies and clears the per-tab activity identifier.
Maps and external websites
Interactive maps request tiles from OpenStreetMap when displayed. Its servers receive ordinary web request information, including IP address and requested map tiles. Academy, registration, rules and social links open independent websites with their own privacy policies.
Community submissions
Submitting a listing requires a registered profile. Your draft stays in this browser tab until you submit it. Submissions enter a private administrator review queue. Your account email, private note and review details are not published with an approved listing. Public listing information appears only after administrator approval.
Account interests
Saved states, topics and followed items are optional preferences. Email delivery is not currently connected. Your profile information is not published as a public athlete or instructor profile.
